We are happy to offer payment plans, some options with 0% APR through Cherry as well as CareCredit for qualifying patients. Please note that if you are enrolled in the Savings Club, savings is reduced from 15% to 5% when utilizing Cherry; you will still receive all complimentary items. Full office fees will apply when paying with CareCredit. For patients with dental insurance, if utilizing financing we are still able to submit claims to your PPO dental insurance so you may receive any reimbursements.

We see many patients with dental insurance, and we are happy to submit claims as a courtesy for our patients enrolled in PPO dental insurances so that you may receive any reimbursements from your insurance company via mail.
However, because we strongly believe in providing meticulous, high-quality care, which is exceedingly challenging with a third party such as insurance dictating terms, we do not sign contracts with insurance companies to be “in network”. Contracting with insurance would mean limitations and restrictions on the high standard of care we provide and time away from patient care. We collect fees at the time of service; however payments can be made through financing for qualifying patients/procedures. We are happy to be an unrestricted provider.
HMO and Medicaid plans unfortunately do not provide any reimbursements and require you to use their contracted providers to provide any coverage.
We encourage you to join our Savings Club as a simpler, more transparent alternative option to dental insurance. -
We have many patients who feel our high level of service and care is absolutely worth utilizing out-of-network benefits. Check out our Google reviews for personal accounts about what people love about their experience with us.
Sometimes insurance reimbursement rates are so low it makes it difficult for an in-network dental provider to be profitable, which sometimes necessitates a higher volume of patients and/or procedures. This can also be reflected as greater wait times for you as a patient, rushed visits, and other common concerns.
Our focus is on quality over quantity, while serving as many patients in and around Bulverde and Spring Branch as we can without compromising our high standard of care. Going to an out of network provider does not mean you can’t utilize benefits if you have a PPO plan. In fact, you are paying a premium for a PPO plan so you CAN choose ANY dentist- not just one who is in the company’s network by signing their contracts and accepting their rates.
Being an out of network provider or unrestricted provider, allows us to focus on what really matters- YOU, the patient, and providing you with an exceptional experience and care.
Dental insurance provides limited annual amounts of coverage, does not cover all necessary procedures in the best interest of your health, and they will deny even “covered” procedures when they find an opportunity. What is best for our patient, what fits with each individual’s preferences and needs, and evidence-based practices in the best interest of your health and wellness are what guides our treatment planning and methods.
We want quality dental care to be accessible to patients. That is why we offer our in-house Savings Club as a simpler, alternative option to dental insurance. We also offer payment plans through Cherry and CareCredit. -

Most patients will begin with a comprehensive visit. Your initial comprehensive visit includes a thorough examination of your teeth, gums, and other oral tissues, oral cancer screening, digital x-rays, intraoral photos, as well as a consultation and review of any concerns, hopes, or anything else you wish to share with us. We will then formulate a customized comprehensive plan for you and your oral health. This visit typically takes about 1-1.5 hours depending on the findings and what questions you may have. The fee due for a full exam and x-rays is $199.
If you are experiencing an urgent dental issue, we can instead focus on the pressing concern and a limited evaluation and plan so we can address any pain or other urgent concern as soon as possible. The fee due for a limited exam is $136. We will always explain our recommendations so there is no doubt as to why we make them, provide alternate options as possible, and happily answer any questions you have. Schedule now -
We know that anxiety or fear of the dentist is common. That is why it is in our mission to provide care that helps patients overcome dental fear, and we take measures to make your experience as comfortable as possible. We always show great attention and care to our patients’ needs. Before we begin any procedures, we go over a signal with you so you can let us know if you need a break. We also offer nitrous oxide (aka laughing gas) and oral sedation, both of which effectively relax and calm many patients. (We will first evaluate to verify no medical contraindications to these treatments.) It is always an honor for us to earn an anxious patient’s trust and provide a positive experience.

We recommend visiting the dentist at least twice a year, and for patients who have gum disease, typically four times a year. Regular dental visits are important for many reasons including regular screening for oral cancer, professional cleanings to remove bacteria and build-up that is not removable by a toothbrush or floss, and any issues that arise can be diagnosed and treated in a more timely manner. Most small issues will not cause pain, and can go undetected until they are larger issues. These can be diagnosed with a dental exam and/or x-rays. When issues are caught sooner rather than later, the treatment is most often simpler, quicker, and less expensive.

Many times by the time you notice a problem (e.g. pain, a badly chipped tooth, etc.) the treatment needed is more extensive than when the problem is small enough that you don’t necessarily feel anything different! For example, a small cavity that you may have been unaware of prior to seeing your dentist typically only requires a small filling, which preserves more of your tooth structure and is less costly and involved rather than the crown and/or root canal you might need if you choose to take care of the cavity only after it has become larger or painful.

We currently see patients Tuesdays between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Thursdays between 10:30 AM and 6:30 PM, Fridays between 9:00 AM and 3:30 PM, and occasionally on Wednesdays primarily for certain sedation visits. These variable hours allow most patients an appointment time that can work with their schedule. We are a small business with a small team. We encourage you to text message us at any time; the hours in which someone is available to answer the phone vary, but messages are checked daily. We will return your text or call as soon as possible. Although we do our best to accommodate urgent dental concerns, we encourage you to text or call us over walking in. In certain cases the Dr. may be available to come in outside of regular hours for emergencies for an additional fee. Please note our lounge is not always open/attended. We do not permit soliciting.
